Blue Badge Parking

Special Assistance is available in our car parks to support passengers in accessing the terminal and making their way back to their car on the return journey.

Where possible we advise passengers to request assistance when they pre-book online, although 24/7 assistance can be requested at intercoms on the entrance barriers and in the car park bus stops if required.

Blue Badge areas and disabled parking bays

Dedicated Blue Badge areas are available across all our car parks. 

If you need to retain your Blue Badge for your travels, please display a photocopy of your badge on your windscreen. The disabled parking area is checked regularly and your car will receive a fixed penalty fine if there is no sign of disabled parking entitlement.

Picking up and dropping off disabled passengers

Passengers can be picked up or dropped off in our Pick Up & Drop Off car park with blue badge bays for up to 60 minutes for £6.50 on the production of a valid blue badge. The terminal is a 1-minute walk from this car park.   

In order to receive the discount, blue badge holders must produce their blue badge, plus a travel document (Passport, booking confirmation or Boarding pass) to the Special Assistance desk located within the main entrance of the terminal building.

Only travelling blue badge holders can receive the discount. If a non-blue badge customer is being dropped off/collected by a blue badge holder, the discounted rate will not be honoured.

Can I take my Blue Badge abroad with me?

If you need to retain your Blue Badge for your travels, please display a photocopy of your badge in your windscreen. The disabled parking area is checked regularly and your car may be clamped or a fixed penalty fine issued if there is no sign of disabled parking entitlement.

I will need a wheelchair and assistance, who should I contact?

Our Special Assistance team can help you from any of the on-site car parks, through check-in and security through to assisting to the seat on the aircraft. Please contact your Airline at least 48 hours in advance to pre-book your assistance, please note you cannot pre-book assistance directly with the Airport, you must contact your Airline to arrange this.
