Leeds Bradford International Airport To Attend World Route Development Forum
7 October 2008
Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford International Airport’s Commercial & Aviation Development Director is flying to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia later this week to attend the 14th World Route Development Forum.
The forum is an annual global gathering of the world's top airlines and airports, dedicated to discussing and planning air services and is the ideal platform to encourage airlines to introduce new services from Leeds Bradford International Airport over the next 12 months, extending the range of 74 destinations currently available.
Over three days, Tony will meet with 12 of the world’s top airlines encouraging them to commence operations to Yorkshire’s international gateway airport, LBIA. His discussions will focus on driving inbound tourism opportunities for the region, strengthening business connectivity, alongside increasing the international profile of the Leeds City Region.
Tony Hallwood, comments: “This event presents the perfect opportunity to showcase Leeds and the city region on a global stage. I’ll be meeting key international airlines and am confident that Leeds Bradford International Airport will be successful in attracting new business and leisure routes to our growing region.”
