Security

The safety and security of passengers is a major priority to Leeds Bradford International Airport. Please be patient and allow plenty of time for getting to the airport and for security checks once you have arrived at the airport.

Baggage Advice:
Ensure you pack your own bag and do not allow anyone to tamper with them.
Do not carry anything belonging to others.
Clearly label all bags with your name and your destination address.
Observe the weight allowance for hold and hand baggage as allocated by your airline and detailed on your ticket. Never leave bags or personal belongings unattended in the terminal building. Unattended bags and belongings are considered a security risk and may be removed or destroyed. Do not pack any sharp or restricted items in your hand luggage.
Security: Before entering the departure lounge all passengers must pass through security. You will be asked to produce your boarding card for inspection before being screened. All hand baggage will be passed through an X-ray scanner and should be kept to a minimum.
Please help us to reduce queues at security by ensuring none of the items below are packed in your hand luggage. Non-permitted items will be confiscated by security.
You can also help speed up the security process by: Removing any outer coats and belt Emptying any metal items from your pockets (e.g. phones and keys) Removing your laptop computers from bags (these are required to be screened separately)
