Control Centre Assistant- Fixed Term until 31st October 2019.

Shift Pattern:

Four working days, four rest days that include x2 Day shifts/ x2 Night shifts.

Role Purpose:  

To be proactive in order to provide an outstanding level of customer service throughout the 24 hour period at Control Centre.

Responsibilities  

  • To understand the commercial activity, its impact on EBITDA and to ensure that efficient processes and solutions are implemented to enable optimum commercial results
  • To ensure adherence to LBA® Emergency Orders and to act as a key contact in the event of an emergency at the Airport managing, communicating and coordinating as necessary.
  • Monitor the Airport Fire Alarm system and support the Duty Manager in coordinating responses to activations and communications with outside services.
  • Monitor emergency alarms linked to third parties and coordinate timely responses to activations.
  • To liaise with the Airside Operations Unit to ensure the implementation and effective monitoring of service level agreements are met by the service providers.
  • Ensure all duties are effectively planned and resourced in order to deliver a high quality service
  • Monitor and deliver airport switchboard services out of operating hours.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of CCTV Camera Room operations and Car Park Management systems, whilst delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure all cameras are operating and functioning correctly, liaising promptly with the Security Team Leader and Duty Manager on any issues.
  • Monitor the terminal and surrounding areas for suspicious behaviour by maintaining vigilance of the airports perimeter
  • Monitor access control and liaise with the Security Team Leader
  • Monitor the airports delivery area and associated camera checks   
  • Monitoring CCTV minimising breaches/incidents whilst liaising with LBA Security Services.
  • Manage the services to both PRM and Meet & Greet functions; ensuring excellent customer service is delivered.
  • Manage Terminal support functions associated with passenger flow, stand & gate planning and the arrivals process.
  • Deliver services to the Control Centre during peak times and out of operating hours. Assist with supporting the services of PRM and Meet & Greet.
  • Support the Airport Duty Manager in the operation of all Passenger Services, Facilities, Terminal Health and Safety and Car Park Operations.
  • Assist the Airports Fire Safety and Strategy teams in ensuring all areas of the Terminal comply with Fire Safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular Terminal Audits and report faults to the Terminal Maintenance, Projects and Communications departments.
  • Assist in protecting the UK Border by ensuring Airlines/Handling Agents adhere to Passenger Escorting processes.
  • Report Safety and Compliance related incidents to ensure investigations and preventative measures are implemented in a timely manner.
