Discover Sicily
Situated in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, visiting Sicily is like stepping back in time. Medieval towns and villages sit amongst the cobbled paths, and visitors can expect warm weather with a perfect coastal breeze, so it’s not too stifling.
Mount Etna
Mount Etna is the highest volcano in Europe, and it overlooks the entire region of Sicily. Hikers take advantage of the nature trails on the national park which encompasses the mountain, Parco dell'Etna; filled with woods and lush vineyards.

Steeped in history
The picturesque coastline houses most of Sicily’s historic sites, and they’re definitely worth a visit. On the east coast, Catania was built on the remains of ancient Greek and Roman settlements. Today, castles line the entire coast, built to ward off pirates.

Sparkling seas
The crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea wraps around the entire island of Sicily, which is connected to mainland Italy via a narrow strait. In summer, the sea is so warm it matches the temperature on land, especially on sandy beaches with long stretches of shallow water.

Great dining
Being part of Italy, of course, Sicily is famed for its traditional Italian fayre. However, the island has been colonized by lots of nations; including Greeks, Romans, and Spaniards. The result? An eclectic mix of dishes from all over Europe and beyond. Visitors can expect traditional pasta, seafood and sweet dishes.
