Filming & Photography at LBA

Any filming or photography in and around our airport requires additional authorisation from our Press Office. Please contact LBApressoffice@hatch.group with details of your enquiry.

Drones and the Flight Restriction Zone (FRZ)

Any filming by drones in and around our airfield requires additional authorisation from our Air Traffic Control team.

To apply for approval to fly a UAV within Leeds Bradford Airports Flight Restriction Zone, please email Air Traffic Control on atc@lba.co.uk at least 48 hours before flight detailing location, maximum operating height and date/duration. All flights remain subject to air traffic movements and therefore may be declined or differed.

When you fly a drone or other unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), you have a responsibility to follow the rules that are in place to keep everyone safe.

Leeds Bradford Airport use the term UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), which includes: Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA), Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or ‘Drones’. If you need guidance on what is permitted please check out our drone FAQs here.
